Summary
This study tested two medicines, rifapentine and isoniazid, to prevent active tuberculosis (TB) in children up to 12 years old who had latent (hidden) TB infection. The goal was to find the safest and most effective dose for both HIV-infected and HIV-uninfected children. Researchers measured drug levels in the blood and monitored for side effects to create a dosing guide for pediatric use.
