First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a mild electrical pulse behind the ear (taVNS) can change insulin, C-peptide, and blood sugar levels in 30 healthy adults aged 18-70. Researchers will compare active stimulation to a control group and measure heart rate changes. The goal is to learn how the vagus nerve affects metabolism, which could lead to new treatments for diabetes and stomach problems.
