NCT ID NCT07565077
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how a common heart valve procedure called TAVI changes the bacteria living in your gut. Researchers will collect blood and stool samples from 40 older adults before and three months after TAVI to measure bacterial byproducts and identify which bacteria are present. The goal is to see if improving heart function can restore a healthier gut environment, which may help reduce inflammation and complications.
