NCT ID NCT07052071
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether fixing a tight heart valve with a procedure called TAVI can improve the balance of bacteria in the gut. Researchers will collect stool and blood samples from 40 patients before and after the procedure to see if better blood flow changes gut health. The goal is to understand the link between heart function and the gut microbiome, which could lead to new treatments for heart disease.
