Taurine supplement tested as Add-On therapy for MS
NCT ID NCT07263607
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking taurine, a natural supplement, alongside standard multiple sclerosis (MS) medications can help control the disease better than medications alone. About 80 adults with relapsing-remitting MS will take taurine or continue their usual treatment for 24 months. Researchers will track brain lesions, relapses, disability progression, and gut health to see if taurine offers extra benefits.
