Summary
This study aimed to learn more about a protein called tau in the brains of people with primary progressive aphasia (PPA) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Researchers used a special PET brain scan to see where and how much tau builds up in 81 participants with these conditions. The goal was to see if this scan could be a useful tool for understanding and tracking these diseases, not to test a treatment.
