First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study tests a new drug called [212Pb]VMT-α-NET, which delivers a powerful alpha particle directly to tumor cells that have a specific marker (SSTR2). The trial involves 300 adults with advanced neuroendocrine tumors or meningioma that cannot be removed by surgery. The goal is to see if the treatment is safe and can shrink tumors.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
[212Pb]VMT-α-NET (a radioactive drug that delivers alpha particles directly to tumor cells)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced neuroendocrine tumors or meningioma that have not responded to other therapies.
What could go wrong
This is an early first-in-human trial, so safety and effectiveness are not yet known. There is a risk of serious side effects from the radiation, and the treatment may not shrink tumors.
Conditions
The condition(s) this trial relates to.
As listed by the trial registrant
The condition terms exactly as the trial's registrant entered them.
