Hidden danger after aortic repair: exercise may reveal organ damage
NCT ID NCT07134621
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looks at adults who had surgery to fix a narrowed aorta (coarctation) but now develop high blood pressure only during exercise. Researchers want to see if this exercise-induced high blood pressure causes hidden damage to the heart, arteries, or kidneys. Fifty participants will undergo exercise testing, heart ultrasound, and blood/urine tests to check for early signs of organ stress.
