NCT ID NCT02996721
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether getting vitamin D levels to a healthy range after a heart attack can lower the chance of having another heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or death. About 634 adults who recently had a heart attack took part. Half received standard care, and the other half had their vitamin D levels managed to stay above 40 ng/mL. The goal was to see if this simple step could make a real difference in heart health.
