First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study compares two ultrasound-guided pain relief techniques (TAP block and ESP block) for women having planned cesarean sections. The goal is to see which method reduces pain more effectively after surgery, especially at rest six hours later. Researchers will also track pain during movement, opioid use, and how quickly women can walk and start breastfeeding. 156 women will be randomly assigned to one of the two blocks.
