Can a lower dose of tadalafil still ease stent pain?

NCT ID NCT07562282

First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study compares two doses of tadalafil (2.5 mg vs 5 mg) combined with tamsulosin to reduce symptoms caused by ureteric stents placed after kidney stone removal. About 140 adults will take one of the two combinations for several weeks. The goal is to see if the lower dose works as well as the standard dose in easing pain, urgency, and other urinary discomfort.
