Pill tested to get catheters out faster after Women's surgery
NCT ID NCT04597372
Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called tamsulosin can help women regain the ability to urinate on their own more quickly after pelvic reconstructive surgery. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo (inactive pill) in 154 women who experience temporary bladder retention after their operation. The main goal is to see if the medication shortens the time women need to use a catheter and reduces the risk of urinary tract infections.
