Summary
This early-phase pilot study tested whether adding zoledronic acid to standard chemotherapy (paclitaxel and bevacizumab) could change immune cells called macrophages in women with platinum-resistant ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. Only 14 women who had already tried 1-2 other treatments for recurrence took part. The main goal was to measure immune cell counts, not to cure or control the disease directly.
