Summary

This study tested whether a pill called TAK-861 could help people with narcolepsy type 1 stay awake during the day and have fewer sudden muscle weakness attacks (cataplexy). About 105 participants took either the real pill or a placebo (sugar pill) for 12 weeks. Researchers measured how well people could stay awake, their quality of life, and the safety of the treatment.
