Bee product could tame fatty liver and blood fats
NCT ID NCT07692438
First seen Jul 09, 2026 · Last updated Jul 10, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether Taiwan green propolis, a natural bee product, can improve blood lipids and body fat in adults with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), a common fatty liver condition linked to obesity and high cholesterol. About 60 participants take either propolis capsules or placebo for 12 weeks, with measurements of cholesterol, body composition, liver fat, and other metabolic markers. The goal is to see if this supplement offers a safe, effective way to manage metabolic health in people with fatty liver.
