Personalized dosing tested to Fine-Tune blood thinners before heart procedures
NCT ID NCT07225842
Summary
This study aims to find the best dose of a blood-thinning drug (cangrelor) for patients with heart disease who are waiting for a procedure like a stent or bypass surgery. Researchers will adjust the drug dose based on a simple blood test that measures how sticky a patient's platelets are, comparing this personalized approach to a standard one-size-fits-all dose. The goal is to better control blood clotting risk during this waiting period without increasing bleeding.
