First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding Tai Chi exercises to standard physical therapy helps older adults (ages 60-80) with knee osteoarthritis. 96 participants were split into three groups: standard therapy alone, therapy plus virtual reality training, or therapy plus Tai Chi. Over 4 weeks, researchers measured balance, pain, and daily function to see if Tai Chi offered extra benefits.
