First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding Tai Chi exercises to standard physical therapy helps older adults (ages 60-80) with knee osteoarthritis. 96 participants were split into three groups: standard therapy alone, therapy plus virtual reality training, or therapy plus Tai Chi. The goal was to see if Tai Chi improves balance, reduces pain, and makes daily activities easier compared to the other approaches.
