Tai chi beats brisk walking for better sleep in stressed students

NCT ID NCT06200805

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether doing tai chi for 24 weeks could help college students with insomnia sleep better. 90 students with poor sleep were split into three groups: tai chi, brisk walking, or no exercise. The researchers measured sleep quality and checked blood for signs of inflammation. The goal was to see if tai chi improves sleep more than simple walking or doing nothing.
