First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether practicing Tai Chi for 24 weeks can reduce chronic pain, improve thinking and movement, and lower the chance of falling in older adults (65+) who have pain in multiple body areas and are at risk for falls. About 266 participants will be randomly assigned to Tai Chi or a control group. The goal is to see if this gentle mind-body exercise offers a safe, drug-free way to manage pain and improve quality of life.
