Heart attack drug trial aims to prevent future cardiac events

Summary
This study tests whether the drug tafolecimab, given before a procedure to open blocked heart arteries, can lower the risk of major heart problems over one year in people who have had a heart attack. About 1,160 adults aged 18-75 will receive either the drug or standard care alone. The goal is to see if the drug improves blood flow in tiny heart vessels and reduces complications.
