NCT ID NCT06575647
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving a single round of the drug tafenoquine to everyone in three villages in Myanmar could safely reduce cases of a type of malaria called P. vivax. Over 1,200 people took part. The goal was to see if this approach is safe and practical in a region where health services have been disrupted. The results will help guide future efforts to control malaria in similar settings.
