NCT ID NCT07323407

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tACS can help adults with severe constipation that hasn't improved with standard treatments, especially when they also have physical symptoms linked to stress. About 60 participants will receive either real or sham tACS sessions over 4 weeks. The goal is to see if this approach increases complete bowel movements and improves quality of life.
