First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a gentle electrical current applied to the brain (tACS) could improve word-finding in people with chronic aphasia after a stroke. Eleven participants received either real or fake stimulation combined with language training over two weeks. The goal was to see if the brain stimulation boosted the effects of speech therapy.
