What this could lead to

If it works, this could provide a safe, effective weight management program tailored for teens with type 1 diabetes, reducing heart disease risk and preventing eating disorders.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 50 participants, so results may not apply to all teens. The program is behavioral, so benefits depend on individual adherence and may not be dramatic.
