New hope for hard-to-treat cancers: targeted drug shows promise in advanced tumors

Summary

This study tests a drug called trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) alone or with other medicines in people with advanced solid tumors that have a specific marker (HER2). The goal is to see if the drug can shrink tumors and control the disease. About 127 adults with tumors that cannot be surgically removed or have spread will take part. The study is not a cure, but aims to manage the cancer.
