New sensor could change how ICUs track blood sugar

NCT ID NCT07448805

First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study checks if a new, over-the-counter continuous glucose monitor (Syai Tag) is accurate and safe for ICU patients. About 100 adults in intensive care who need blood sugar checks will wear two small sensors on their arms. Researchers will compare the sensor readings with standard blood tests to see how well the device works.
