Summary

This study tested whether a sleep medication called suvorexant could improve sleep and reduce severe confusion (delirium) in adults 65 and older after non-cardiac surgery. 142 participants received either the drug or a placebo after their operation. The goal was to see if better sleep leads to less confusion during recovery.
