First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests if a special 'figure-of-X' stitching method can lower the risk of the belly wound bursting open after colorectal cancer surgery, compared to the usual continuous stitch. About 40 adults having open surgery will take part. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer serious wound complications.
