Study checks if nurses follow rules for catheter care
NCT ID NCT07259421
Summary
This study aims to observe and describe current nursing practices for using a special antibacterial solution (taurolidine lock) in patients with a specific type of long-term IV catheter (PICC). Researchers will follow 45 patients who need the catheter for nutrition therapy to see if nurses follow the recommended steps for using the solution and to track any problems with the catheter over 30 days. The goal is to understand if real-world use matches guidelines and to identify any safety issues.
