New combo therapy could boost survival in rare lung tumor patients

NCT ID NCT07357623

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding chemotherapy to the drug surufatinib works better than surufatinib alone for people with a rare type of lung cancer called pulmonary neuroendocrine tumor. About 96 adults will receive either the combination or just surufatinib, and researchers will compare tumor shrinkage and safety. The goal is to find a more effective treatment option for this hard-to-treat cancer.
