Summary
This study aimed to find the best skin cleaning solution to prevent infections after a medical thoracoscopy, a procedure to diagnose lung fluid problems. Researchers compared two common antiseptics—chlorhexidine-alcohol and povidone-iodine—in 100 patients. The goal was to see which one was more effective at reducing surgical site and chest infections following the procedure.
