Shoulder fracture showdown: does surgery beat the sling?
NCT ID NCT06416618
First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 39 times
Summary
This study looks at whether surgery helps people aged 50 to 65 with a displaced shoulder fracture recover better than non-surgical treatment (like a sling). About 60 participants will be randomly assigned to either have surgery or not. They will fill out short questionnaires about pain and function at 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years to see which approach works best.
