First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at whether surgery or non-surgical treatments (like physical therapy) work better for people with rotator cuff tears that happened without a specific injury. 187 adults aged 40 to 84 with MRI-confirmed tears took part.
