Neck surgery vs exercise: which works better for spinal cord compression?
NCT ID NCT07358273
Summary
This pilot study aims to determine if a larger trial comparing two standard treatments for mild degenerative cervical myelopathy is feasible. Researchers will recruit 56 adults with mild spinal cord compression in the neck and randomly assign them to either spine surgery or a conservative care program of education and exercises. The study will measure whether enough people can be recruited, complete follow-ups, and stick to their assigned treatment to justify a larger future trial.
