Can cutting out the tumor before drug treatment help beat advanced lung cancer?
NCT ID NCT07177092
Summary
This study is testing if surgically removing the main lung tumor before starting the drug osimertinib works better than just taking the drug alone for people with advanced EGFR-mutant lung cancer. About 118 patients will be randomly assigned to either have surgery followed by the drug or to receive the drug by itself. The main goal is to see if the combination helps patients live longer without their cancer getting worse.
