Study withdrawn: seeking better pain control after surgery for those in recovery

NCT ID NCT04091009

Summary

This study aimed to find the best way to manage pain after surgery for people taking buprenorphine for opioid use disorder. Researchers planned to compare continuing the full medication dose versus temporarily reducing it around surgery time. The goal was to see which approach better controlled pain while minimizing cravings and relapse risk, but the trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
