Heated chemo during surgery may extend life in resistant ovarian cancer
NCT ID NCT05316181
First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding surgery and heated chemotherapy (HIPEC) to standard care helps women with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer live longer without the disease getting worse. About 140 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either surgery plus HIPEC or standard treatment alone. The goal is to see if this aggressive approach can better control the cancer, though it is not expected to be a cure.
