New surgical approach aims to restore comfort and confidence for women

NCT ID NCT07245823

Summary

This study is comparing two different surgical repair techniques for women experiencing vaginal laxity (a feeling of the vagina being too large) and related discomfort, often associated with pelvic organ prolapse. The goal is to see which method is better at restoring normal anatomy, improving self-image, and reducing symptoms like loss of sensitivity. Researchers will enroll about 100 women to receive either a newer muscle-plication technique or a more conventional surgical repair.
