New surgical strategy tested for advanced pancreatic cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether surgery can help control pancreatic cancer that has spread to only a few spots in the liver or lungs. About 40 people who have this specific type of advanced cancer will first receive a strong chemotherapy. If the cancer responds well, doctors will try to surgically remove the main tumor and the small spread tumors. The main goal is to see if this aggressive approach can help control the disease and improve survival.
