Athletes' leg pain surgery under the microscope: is it safe?

NCT ID NCT07147556

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 42 times

Summary

This study looks at how safe surgery is for a rare condition called functional popliteal artery entrapment, which causes leg pain in young athletes during exercise. Researchers will track 138 adults who have the surgery to see how many need to return to the hospital within 30 days. The goal is to better understand risks and recovery, not to test a new treatment.
