First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a special skin substitute (SureDerm) during breast-conserving surgery can make women happier with how their breast looks and feels afterward. About 116 women with breast cancer will be randomly assigned to get either standard surgery or surgery with SureDerm. They will fill out questionnaires about their satisfaction before surgery, and at 1 month and 12 months after, and doctors will check for any complications.
