New cable promises faster healing, less pain after Open-Heart surgery
NCT ID NCT07251881
Summary
This study is testing a new material called SuperCable to see if it's better than traditional steel wires for closing the chest bone after heart bypass surgery. Researchers want to know if the new cable helps the bone heal faster, reduces pain after the operation, and gets patients home sooner. Eighty-six patients will be randomly assigned to have their chest closed with either the new cable or the standard wires and then followed for six months.
