NCT ID NCT07481344

First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether teaching ultrarunners about sun protection can help them use more sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and avoid peak UV hours. About 110 runners in the 2026 Western States Endurance Run will be split into two groups: one gets a 30-minute online class plus monthly tips, the other gets a general wellness brochure. Researchers will measure changes in sun safety knowledge and behavior before and after the race.
