New device aims to rapidly reopen blocked brain arteries in stroke patients

Summary
This study is testing a medical device designed to quickly restore blood flow in people having a severe stroke caused by a blocked artery in the brain. About 500 adults who are treated within 8 hours of their stroke symptoms starting will take part. The goal is to see how well the device works at reopening the blocked vessel and improving patient recovery.
