Summary

This study looks at whether sharing information between jails and health systems can help prevent suicide in people after they are released from jail. Researchers will combine jail release records with electronic health records to identify those at risk and connect them to proven suicide prevention services. The study will track suicide attempts and deaths among 5,250 adults released from jail in Michigan and Minnesota.
