New study aims to stop suicide in LGBTQ+ youth with quick telehealth check-ins

Summary

This study aims to reduce suicide among sexual and gender diverse young adults aged 18-24. It compares two brief suicide prevention programs adapted for this group, delivered via telehealth in primary care clinics. About 1,485 participants who screen positive for suicide risk but are not actively suicidal will be enrolled. The main goal is to lower suicidal thoughts.
