Summary
This study tested whether giving sugammadex (a drug that reverses muscle relaxants) after heart surgery helps patients wake up and have their breathing tube removed sooner compared to a placebo. About 74 adults having heart surgery with a heart-lung machine took part. The goal was to see if sugammadex improves early recovery, such as shorter time on the breathing tube and shorter hospital stays.
