First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study aims to identify markers that can better predict the risk of sudden cardiac death in people who have had a heart attack and have moderately reduced heart function (ejection fraction between 35-50%). Researchers will follow 400 participants for 5 years, collecting data from exams and remote monitoring to see which factors are linked to dangerous heart rhythms or cardiac death. The goal is to improve prevention strategies, such as deciding who needs an implantable defibrillator.
