NCT ID NCT07287293
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study compares two ways of removing a breathing tube after surgery: one with suctioning inside the windpipe and one without. The goal is to see if skipping suction prevents low oxygen levels while also reducing sore throat and coughing. About 408 adults having planned surgery will take part, and their oxygen and throat symptoms will be checked for 24 hours after.
